Warehouse Helper Job in Toronto, Canada

Nella Toronto is a well-established Canadian company with deep roots in the food equipment and cutlery industry. The company began in 1950 when Antonio Nella moved from Italy to Canada and built a knife-sharpening service that later grew into Nella Cutlery — now a nationwide supplier of knives, food machinery, and commercial kitchen equipment. Today, Nella serves grocery stores, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and wholesalers across Canada.

To support its growing operations, Nella Toronto is now hiring a full-time Warehouse Helper to keep products moving accurately and on time.

About the Role

This position plays a key role inside Nella’s warehouse. The Warehouse Helper is responsible for receiving products, preparing customer orders, and ensuring that merchandise is handled, stored, and shipped correctly. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy before storing them in the correct warehouse locations. You will tag, label, box, wrap, and pack merchandise based on company standards and order requirements.

You will pick and gather items to complete internal and external customer orders, load products onto delivery trucks using proper equipment, and carefully handle fragile goods to prevent damage. You will also track damaged or impaired merchandise and keep accurate records of all completed orders and paperwork.

Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts will be part of your daily work, and you will be expected to follow all safety procedures to protect yourself, your coworkers, and company products.

Who They Are Looking For

Nella is looking for someone with at least two years of warehouse experience and one year of order-picking experience. You must be comfortable working in a high-volume warehouse where speed, accuracy, and organization are critical.

Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail are essential. You should be able to manage your time, prioritize tasks, and work safely with minimal supervision.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time, in-person role in Toronto with an hourly pay range of 19 to 22 Canadian dollars, depending on experience.

Employees also receive benefits including dental care, extended health coverage, on-site parking, and a store discount.

This role is ideal for someone who wants stable full-time work inside a growing Canadian company that has been operating successfully for decades.
