IntermodeX is now hiring multiple Warehouse Workers for its two Prince Rupert facilities. All new employees begin in casual status and transition to regular employment after completing the probation period.
Salary and Pay Progression
Warehouse workers at IntermodeX receive steady pay increases based on length of service. New hires earn 23.13 dollars per hour during their first 12 months. From 12 to 18 months, the rate increases to 24.13 dollars per hour. From 18 to 24 months, pay rises to 24.63 dollars per hour. After completing two years, employees reach the full rate of 25.13 dollars per hour.

Work Schedule and Shift Details
This position follows a daily scheduling system from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays depending on workload. Day shifts typically start between 7 AM and 12 PM. Overtime shifts may be assigned when operational demand increases, including weekends.
Job Duties
Warehouse workers are responsible for loading and unloading containers and assisting with the movement of freight throughout the facility. The role supports day-to-day logistics operations and requires physical activity, accuracy, and teamwork to keep cargo flowing efficiently.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This role takes place in an industrial setting that includes warehouses and lumber yards. Employees work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, and noise. The job requires frequent lifting, with the ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly. Workers will also operate around heavy equipment, making safety awareness essential.
No previous container handling experience is required, although it is considered an advantage. Training is provided on the job for those new to this type of work.
