EQI Canada is now hiring a Packing Operator to support its warehouse operations. This is a part-time role reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. Training and certification are provided to successful candidates.
Job Responsibilities
As a Packing Operator, you will be responsible for preparing products for shipment while ensuring quality and accuracy. Your daily tasks will include unpacking crates of mixed products for inspection, packaging items according to customer standards, and performing basic quality control such as counting, weighing, and visual checks. You will also use computer systems to process picking orders, print shipping labels, and ensure packages are correctly labeled.
The role involves folding and taping boxes, stacking packages on pallets or crates, and applying protective materials such as bubble wrap, mesh sleeves, caps, bags, and rust-prevention products. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace using 5S standards is part of the job, along with attending safety training and completing additional tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Who Can Apply
This role is suitable for candidates with one to three years of warehouse experience, although motivated individuals who can learn quickly are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must be able to safely lift up to 40 pounds and work comfortably in a fast-paced team environment. Experience with RF scanners, forklifts, or lean manufacturing principles is considered an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, good communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately are important for success in this position.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position offering between 20 and 30 hours per week. The warehouse operates from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Your schedule will be set in agreement with the Warehouse Supervisor within these operating hours.
Salary
The position pays 20 dollars per hour, offering steady income for part-time warehouse work.
